Disability Services

Mid-South Community College’s Disability Services is committed to providing opportunities in higher education for students with disabilities who demonstrate reasonable ability for college success.

Although MSCC does not offer a specialized curriculum for persons with disabilities and does not  assume the role of a rehabilitation center, the College offers a variety of support services so that students have the best possible opportunity for success in the classroom and the college community. Responsibility is ownership of the student shared with the appropriate employees for modifying campus facilities and programs to meet individual needs.

Students registered with Disability Services have access to resources that will enable them to manage daily activities in an institutional setting. MSCC offers physical and technological access as well as auxiliary aids, accessible facilities, and reasonable accommodations for the classroom.

Disability Services’ goal is to provide students with access to resources that will enable them to be successful.
