Located in the Reynolds Center, the Learning Success Center (LSC) serves as a one-stop location for student learning and information about support services. It provides a network of computers with applications and academic support software for student use with assistance provided by a supportive staff. The Center also offers students opportunities to work in groups or individually and/or receive appropriate academic coaching. Faculty members, professional and student peer academic coaches offer services in most academic areas. Supplemental instruction, via video tapes or computer resources is also provided for mathematics, English, accounting, science, and computer applications, as well as other courses. Students must present valid MSCC IDs for entry into the LSC.
The Learning Success Center also offers students the following services:

• Job placement and career guidance
• Admissions and transfer information
• Academic assistance to students on academic probation
• Assistance for students initiating the course drop and withdrawal process
• Minority Male Mentoring
How Do I Make An Appointment?
Appointments can be scheduled online via Tutor Trac or by visiting the Learning Success Center; group and individual sessions are welcome. To schedule a standing appointment, please access a coaches’ calendar online via Tutor Trac. Tutor Trac is accessible via your Campus Cruiser dashboard. For drop-in coaching simply stop by the Learning Success Center and ask the front desk staff to assist you in seeing an available coach. The coaching schedule is available at the Learning Success Center front desk throughout the year. English coaches are located in the Learning Success Center and math coaches in Library
Are There Any other Resources Available for Tutoring?
Yes, there are other resources available! For example, Smarthinking is an online tutorial resource available to all students to access professional tutors online. This resource offers instructional assistance in various subject areas and only requires you to login online to access the site. The Smarthinking link is also accessible via your Campus Cruiser dashboard. The Learning Success Center also offers a collection of materials on study skills development which is available at no cost to you. This collection includes textbooks, videos and pamphlets. Textbooks and videos maybe checked out but must be returned. Any of the coaches in the Learning Success Center can assist you in study skills development.
