MSCC to Host Harry Benson Photography Exhibition Beginning April 19
“Harry Benson: Being There,” an exhibition that
features nearly 100 of the photographer’s most iconic images, will be on
display beginning Saturday, April 19, at Mid-South Community College. A
special opening event, which will include a personal appearance by Mr.
Benson, will be conducted 5:30-7 p.m. on April 19, and everyone is
welcome to attend. There is no admission fee.

MSCC Student Pursuing Lifelong Dream to Become CPA
As a
sophomore in high school in the late 1970s, Shurren R. Dickerson of West
Memphis knew exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up – a certified
public accountant. While she pursued some different employment
options after high school, Dickerson never lost sight of her goal, and
today she is taking classes at Mid-South Community College that will
help her realize her dream.

Motors Manufacturing Presents Gifts to MSCC
In conjunction with
its official grand opening on Feb. 7, Hino Motors Manufacturing USA made
two special presentations to Mid-South Community College: a check for
one million yen ($10,000) to fund an annual scholarship and an electric
car kit for for use by students in the MSCC Technical Center/Workforce
Technology Center. Hino and Toyota officials also toured the College’s
WTC following the ceremony.

Eastern Arkansas counties participated in the WIA ADTEC Day at Mid-South
Community College on Monday, Feb. 18. Students from Barton, Earle,

High School), Marion, Marvell, Palestine-Wheatley, Turrell, and Wynne
learned about programmable logic controllers (PLCs), computer-aided
