The Arkansas Greyhound Owners & Breeders Association
The Arkansas Greyhound Owners & Breeders Association Scholarship fund will support the awarding of (2) $500 scholarships to new or current Mid-South Community College students each fall and spring semester. These scholarships can be renewed for the spring semester if the student has maintained a 2.75 overall GPA. The applicant must enroll at least part-time (minimum of 6 hours). The applicant must be a resident of Arkansas. The applicant must submit a brief summary of his/her educational plans and goals.
Charley Bartholomew Memorial
The Charley Bartholomew Memorial Scholarship fund will support the awarding of scholarships to new or current Mid-South Community College students each fall and spring semester. These scholarships can be renewed for the spring semester if the student has maintained a 2.75 overall GPA. The scholarships are designed to help meet the financial needs of students who are not eligible for federal grant assistance. The scholarship provides up to $250 for each semester. These funds can be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books. The applicant should be seeking a certificate or degree in Diesel Maintenance. The applicant must submit a brief summary of his/her educational plans and goals.
John Gammon Jr. Memorial Endowed
Income from this Fund will be used to award scholarships to current or incoming students at Mid-South Community College (MSCC) according to the criteria described below. Donations to the MSCC Foundation can be added to the John Gammon Endowed Scholarship fund, or can be added to the endowed fund income available for scholarship awards. Applicants for scholarship support from this fund will follow the scholarship process in place for other MSCC Foundation scholarships.
Donna & Fred Goodfellow
The Donna and Fred Goodfellow fund will be used to award scholarships to new students at MSCC that maintain an overall GPA of 2.7 or higher, submission of application essay stating ambitions, may be full time or part time student and must be employed full-time or part-time. Each fall semester two awards will be given for $250 each; renewable for the spring semester for a total of $1,000 annually.
Paul E. Gray Memorial
The Paul E. Gray Memorial Scholarship fund will support the awarding of scholarships to new or current Mid-South Community College students each fall and spring semester. These scholarships can be renewed for the spring semester if the student has maintained a 2.75 overall GPA and has not dropped or failed any classes. The scholarships are designed to help meet the financial needs of students who are not eligible for federal grant assistance. The scholarships provide up to $250 for each semester. These funds can be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books. The applicant should be seeking a certificate or degree in Diesel Maintenance. The applicant must submit a brief summary of his/her educational plans and goals.
Roy L. Gray Working Man
The Roy L Gray scholarship was established by MSCC in his memory as an employee. Applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours, be a working parent currently employed and a graduate of the MSCC GED program.
David Herren Memorial
The David Jacob Herren Memorial Scholarship fund will support the awarding of scholarships to new or current Mid-South Community College students each fall and spring semester. These scholarships can be renewed for the spring semester if the student has maintained a 2.75 overall GPA and has not dropped or failed any classes. The scholarships are designed to help meet the financial needs of students who are not eligible for federal grant assistance. The scholarship provides up to $250 for each semester. These funds can be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books. The applicant must enroll at least part-time (minimum of 6 hours). The applicant should be seeking a certificate or degree in Advanced Manufacturing. The applicant must submit a brief summary of his/her educational plans and goals.
Molly Whistle Paudert
The Molly Whistle Paudert scholarship fund will support the awarding of scholarships to new or current Mid-South Community College students each fall and spring semester. These scholarships can be renewed for the spring semester if the student has maintained a 2.75 overall GPA and has not dropped or failed any classes. The scholarships are designed to help meet the financial needs of students who are not eligible for federal grant assistance. They provide up to $500 for each semester. These funds can be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books. The applicant must enroll at least part-time (minimum of 6 hours), complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) but must not be eligible to receive federal Pell grant funds, be a single parent or a working parent at the beginning of the semester for which the scholarship is sought and submit a brief summary of his/her educational plans and goals.
Shelley & Jim Pugh Scholarship
Each fall semester 2 awards will be given for $250 each; renewable for the spring semester for a total of $1,000 annually. Successful applicants will be from a farm family (family members employed in farming, not necessarily farm owners), OR planning a career in agriculture or agriculture related business, must maintain a 2.7 GPA while enrolled at MSCC and must be enrolled at least 6 hours per semester.
Marvin Steele Scholarship
The Marvin Steele Scholarship is restricted to students who are taking MSCC courses in the business curriculum and who have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher. Eligible candidates would also include incoming students who have considerable experience in business. In order not to disqualify students who are continuing to work, we suggest that part-time students enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours be eligible for this award. Students must be currently running a business, plan to become entrepreneurs, and/or have strong records in business courses.
Ford Turner Memorial
Income from this Fund will be used to award scholarships to current or incoming students at Mid-South Community College (MSCC) according to the criteria described below. The fund will be managed in accordance with the MSCC Foundation investment policies. Donations to the MSCC Foundation can be added to the John Gammon Endowed Scholarship fund, or can be added to the endowed fund income available for scholarship awards. Applicants for scholarship support from this fund will follow the scholarship process in place for other MSCC Foundation scholarships.
Mary & John P. Wilson Memorial Endowed
The Mary and John P. Wilson endowed scholarship fund will support the awarding of six to eight $500 scholarships to new or current Mid-South Community College students each fall semester. The fund is administered by the Mid-South Community College Foundation. These scholarships can be renewed for the spring semester if the student has maintained a 2.75 overall GPA and has not dropped or failed any classes. The scholarships are designed to help meet the financial needs of students who are not eligible for federal grant assistance. They provide up to $500 for each semester. These funds can be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books. The applicant must enroll full time (minimum of 12 hours). The applicant must be less than 24 years of age at the beginning of the semester for which the scholarship is sought. The applicant must submit a brief summary of his/her educational plans and goals.
The Barbara Bird Memorial Scholarship
The Barbara Bird Memorial Scholarship Fund will support the awarding of one (1) scholarship to Mid-South Community College students each fall and spring semester. This scholarship is renewable for the spring semester provided the awardee maintains a 3.0 overall GPA and has not dropped or failed any classes. The scholarship is designed to help meet the educational needs of students who demonstrate financial need and are seeking a degree in nursing. These funds can be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books. The applicant must be seeking a nursing degree. The applicant must be enrolled for a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester. The applicant must submit a brief summary of his/her educational plans and goals.
The Reed C. & Frank G. Fogleman Scholarship
The Reed C. & Frank G. Fogleman Scholarship fund will support the awarding of one (1) $500.00 scholarship to a Mid-South Community College student each fall and spring semester. The scholarship is renewable for the spring semester provided the awardee maintains a 2.75 overall GPA and has not dropped or failed any classes. The scholarship is designed to help meet the educational needs of students who demonstrate financial need and are seeking a degree in nursing or other medically related field. These funds can be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books. The applicant must be seeking a degree in nursing or other medically related field. The applicant must be enrolled a minimum of 9 hours. Preference will be given to applicants over 24 years of age. The applicant must be a resident of Crittenden County, AR. The applicant must submit a brief summary of his/her educational plans and goals.
A.L. and Verneil Reed Scholarship Endowment
The A.L. and Verneil Reed Scholarship was established to provide assistance to new or currently enrolled MSCC students. The applicant must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative high school or college GPA of 3.00 or better. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, and books.
Centurions for Christ Sgt. Glen Bailey Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship is for new or currently enrolled full-time MSCC students. Applicants must be a dependant of law enforcement personnel or fire fighter. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students who achieve academic success with a minimum cumulative high school or college grade point average of 3.00 or better.

The scholarship is for new or currently enrolled full-time MSCC students. Applicants must be a dependant of law enforcement personnel or fire fighter. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students who achieve academic success with a minimum cumulative high school or college grade point average of 3.00 or better.
Crittenden County Farm Bureau Scholarship
This scholarship provides for two scholarships to new or currently enrolled full-time MSCC students that are residents of Crittenden County. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students who achieve academic success with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better.
Crittenden National Bank Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded to a new or currently enrolled full-time or part-time MSCC students. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students who are award seeking, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00, and are involved in the community. The scholarship provides for tuition, fees, and books each fall and spring semester as funds are available.
Goldsby High School Scholarship
The Goldsby Scholarship supports increased access to higher education by providing funds to support the enrollment of qualified high school students from Crittenden and surrounding Arkansas counties in MSCC courses, which will also be counted as credits toward high school graduation. Students must maintain an overall GPA of 3.00. The scholarship may be applied to two courses each fall and spring semester for high school juniors and seniors. Students may choose from MSCC courses approved by their high school principal that will count toward high school graduation requirements.
Hattie M. Kemp Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded to a new or currently enrolled, full-time or part-time MSCC student seeking a degree in education with a minimum GPA of 3.00. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need. The scholarship provides for tuition, fees, and books each fall and spring semester as funds are available.
Jimmie C. Barham Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to nontraditional students (age 25 and over) who achieve academic success and are involved in their community. The scholarship may be used for tuition and fees each fall and spring semester. The applicant must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.00 or better.
Jimmie Ladd Richardson Scholarship
This scholarship provides financial assistance to part-time students who achieve academic success. Preferences may be given to students with disabilities. Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.00 or better. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, and books each fall and spring semester.
La Coterie Scholarship
The La Coterie Scholarship focuses more on a student’s involvement in community service activities than on grade point average. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.00 or better. The scholarship may be used for tuition and fees each fall and spring semester.
Mary Meux Toney Scholarship
The Mary Meux Toney Scholarship fund was established to provide financial assistance to needy students who achieve academic success. One scholarship will be awarded each fall and spring semester of each academic year for student(s) enrolled at least part-time.
Maxine Neri Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship provides financial assistance to nontraditional students (age 25 and over) who achieve academic success. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 or better. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books each fall and spring semester.
Ralph W. Sloan Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of the Ralph W. Sloan Memorial Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to worthy Crittenden County high school graduates who plan to further their education in the areas of business, real estate, or law. The applicant must be an MSCC student, a graduate (or high school senior) of a Crittenden County high school, and currently living in Crittenden County. The applicant must be a full-time, traditional student in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.00 or better.
Reverend and Mrs. Zilmon E. Barr Memorial
This scholarship is awarded to new or currently enrolled, full-time or part-time MSCC students. Students must be single parents planning to transfer to a nursing program with a minimum GPA of 3.00. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books each fall and spring semester.
Robert Crittenden Chapter NSDAR Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students who achieve academic success and are involved in their community. Students must be a local resident and have a minimum GPA of 3.00 or better. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books each fall and spring semester.
Roberta Jackson Memorial Scholarship Endowment
The Roberta Jackson Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to nontraditional students (age 25 and over) who achieve academic success. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 and be a resident of Crittenden County. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees and books each fall and spring semester.
Rotary Partners in Education Award
The West Memphis Rotary Club provides a limited number of scholarships on a reimbursable basis upon successful completion of the semester. The applicant must complete a minimum of six credit hours, with a 3.0 GPA, for the semester of application.
Sean Coulter and Jennifer Coulter Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students who seek a degree in computer graphics or media and are a resident of Crittenden County. Applicants must have graduated from a Crittenden County high school and earned a cumulative high school or overall college GPA of 3.0.
Southland Park Gaming & Racing
Southland Greyhound Park has established this scholarship fund designed to assist students at Mid-south Community College. Two scholarships are awarded annually to students who enroll at least part-time.
Todd Allen Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded to a new or currently enrolled, full-time or part-time MSCC student from Crittenden County. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.50. The scholarship provides for tuition, fees, and books either fall or spring semester as funds are available.
Working Student Scholarship
The Working Student Scholarship is available to award-seeking, part-time students who do not qualify for Pell grants. The student must possess a minimum GPA of 3.00 and have completed at least 24 credit hours at MSCC. Applicants must not be enrolled in more than 9 credit hours and must provide documentation of employment for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
