Secretary, Business and Community Education

(Secretary II, Grade 13)

This is a 12-month, classified position with full college benefits.

Qualifications: High school diploma, with associate’s degree preferred; one or more years of training in secretarial/clerical support skills, and one to three years of secretarial experience.  Excellent computer applications and telephone skills; attention to detail, ability to organize and execute multiple tasks and to execute responsibilities with minimal follow-up. Must have good knowledge of general office and record-keeping procedures, of standard office equipment, and of basic mathematical calculations. Skills tests will be required as part of the interview process.

Responsibilities Reports to the Dean of Business and Community Outreach with responsibility for ensuring an efficient, courteous, and customer-focused office environment; for providing general administrative support for BCO staff including correspondence, class schedules, and report preparation; ordering, distributing, and tracking instructional materials and supplies; tracking program enrollments; performing data entry and account reconciliation for budgets; planning and coordinating workshops, meetings, and travel; and performing other duties as assigned. Work assignment will include some evening and weekend hours.

Salary & Benefits $18,353 to $19,575 depending upon qualifications.
