Medical Programs Instructor, MSCC Technical Center This is a 10-month, full-time faculty position. Minimum Qualifications: An associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in nursing with a minimum of two years of experience working as an RN within the last 10 years. Preference given to candidates with long-term care experience and previous teaching experience at the high school or college level. Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively use instructional technology. Previous experience with curriculum development, student advising/mentoring, and the assessment of student learning is also a plus. Candidates without Arkansas Teacher Certification must be willing to meet state certification requirements including successful completion of the Praxis I exam. A criminal background check is required for this position. Responsibilities: Reports to the Program Coordinator for Allied Health and Life Science with responsibility for the instruction of concurrently enrolled high school students (15-18 credit hours per semester), curriculum development, planning and implementing the assessment of student learning outcomes and preparing an annual assessment report. Instructional assignments may also include teaching other scheduled college courses such as Certified Nursing Assistant, including an evening or weekend class. Other responsibilities include academic advising, serving on college committees, planning and supervising academic support activities, and facilitating student organization activities. Salary & Benefits: $37,500 or higher depending upon education and experience.
