Heavy Truck Diesel Technology - Teaching Assistant

Minimum Requirements: Associate degree and relevant ASE certifications; minimum of five years’ experience in heavy truck diesel maintenance and repair; prior experience teaching in a technical college, community college, or industry training program is a plus; working knowledge of common business computer applications, including email; good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be familiar with preventive maintenance, electrical systems, brake systems, diesel engines, power trains, HVAC, and steering and suspension. Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check.

Responsibilities: Reports to the Heavy Truck/Diesel instructor with responsibility for assisting with diesel technology instruction and shop activities and assisting with recruitment of students from area high schools and the community. Work assignment may include day, evening, and/or weekend classes.

Proposed Salary:  $12 per hour.
