Food Service Worker I -- Cook

This is a full-time position with full college benefits. 

Responsibilities: Works under the Supervisor of Cooking with responsibility to ensure proper levels of food and supplies are available for daily food production.  Follow standardized recipes and the ability to adjust to fit our needs of the college. Follow safety guidelines, and ensure worktable and work areas, cooking utensils, pots and pans are properly cleaned and sanitized according to Health Department standards and regulations. Work with other employees to promote organization and encourage teamwork and other duties as assigned.  Prompt and regular attendance is required.

Minimum Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 50lbs; ability to read and follow safety regulations and standardized recipe; ability to work independently; available to work split shifts and irregular hours as needed. 

Salary and Benefits: Position is Grade 3 on the State’s Uniform Classification and Compensation Plan with a salary of $13,009.  MSCC offers a competitive benefits package including retirement; health, life, dental & disability insurance; a flex benefit plan; and educational discounts for employee and family.
