Diesel Technology Instructor, MSCC Technical Center This is a 12-month, second faculty position in the Diesel Technology program. Primary responsibilities will include teaching a wide range of diesel courses, recruiting students into the program, and developing relationships with dealers, repair shop owners, and technicians. Additional responsibilities are those generally expected of full-time faculty, including committee assignments and advising students. Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in Diesel Technology or related field with demonstrated knowledge and skills in diesel systems and repair, with a minimum of three years actual work experience in the diesel service/repair industry. Experience must include the competencies, skills and knowledge levels the instructor will be expected to teach. Must hold or be willing to obtain ASE certifications at the Master Diesel Technician level. Must be able to develop and execute plans with minimal supervision. Responsibilities: The Diesel Technology Instructor reports to the VP for Workforce Technology with responsibility for the daily instruction of Diesel Technology in the MSCC Technical Center and College level classes. Duties include the following:
Salary: $45,000-$55,000 depending upon credentials and experience with full college benefits. Proposed Start Date: June 1, 2008.
