The Machining Technology adjunct will have responsibility for instructing college students of Machining Technology and other related programs, organizing and maintaining instructional equipment, recruiting students and industry partners for the program, and assessing student learning. Teaching schedule may include day, evenings, or weekend hours.
Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Tool & Die Technology, with bachelor’s degree preferred, and at least five years machine shop experience, with specialty in CNC Operations related field (with bachelor’s degree preferred) and at least 2-3 years’ experience in high-end CNC machining. Consideration will be given to candidates with greater experience and relevant industrial certifications. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching or industrial training experience. Other qualifications include the ability to read/analyze and interpret blueprints related to the profession; excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills; a working knowledge of Microsoft applications, and evidence of ongoing commitment to professional development. NIMS certifications, and/or GD&T certificates a plus.
